The International Journal of Educational Studies and Policy (IJESP) is a peer-reviewed, international academic journal that aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and scholarly dialogue in the field of educational sciences. The journal provides a platform for the dissemination of high-quality empirical and theoretical research, with a particular focus on educational management, teacher education, and research methodologies. IJESP publishes original research articles and comprehensive reviews biannually, in May and November. The language of publication is English.


The International Journal of Educational Studies and Policy (IJESP) primarily focuses on scholarly works within the domains of educational management, teacher education, educational research, and methodological studies.  The journal accepts original research and review articles in the following areas:

  • Educational policy, administration, planning, educational economics, and supervision in education.
  • Curriculum design and evaluation, teacher education, and instructional methods, strategies, and techniques.
  • Methodologies of educational measurement and evaluation, including the development, adaptation, and validation of assessment instruments.
  • Psychological counseling and guidance services within educational contexts.

Authors are respectfully informed that manuscripts based solely on studies conducted with pre-service teachers fall outside the scope of the journal.

The writing guidelines for the International Journal of Educational Studies and Policy (IJESP) are outlined below:

  • The language of the manuscript must be English.
  • The total length of the manuscript, including titles, tables, figures, and references, should not exceed 9,000 words or 22 pages.
  • The title should consist of no fewer than 3 and no more than 14 words.
  • The number of tables, figures, and graphics should not exceed 8 in total.
  • The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
  • A list of 3 to 7 keywords must be provided.
  • The abstract (research article) should include:
  1. the purpose of the study,
  2. research design,
  3. study group/population and sample,
  4. data collection tools and procedures,
  5. data analysis methods,
  6. key findings,
  7. conclusions and recommendations.
  • References must be prepared in accordance with the APA Style Guide (7th Edition).

Manuscripts must be formatted using the official IJESP Article Template, which provides detailed author instructions.




The International Journal of Educational Studies and Policy (IJESP) adheres to the ethical standards and publication guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and academic rigor throughout the publication process.

For authors:

  • Authors are expected to comply with the principles of academic and research ethics and are fully responsible for the content and integrity of their submissions.
  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • In the case of multiple authors, individual contributions must be clearly stated on the title page, along with a conflict of interest declaration, if applicable.
  • Any funding sources, institutional support, or acknowledgments should be indicated on the title page.
  • For research that requires ethics committee approval (e.g., studies involving human participants or sensitive data), ethical approval must be obtained and clearly documented within the manuscript


For reviewers:

  • Manuscripts are evaluated by independent experts with relevant subject-matter expertise.
  • Reviewers are expected to assess submissions based on scientific quality, methodological rigor, and the originality of the contribution, in accordance with the Reviewer Evaluation Form.
  • Upon completing the review, reviewers must submit their reports to the editorial team.
  • Reviewers must treat all materials as confidential and may not share, distribute, or discuss the content with any third party.

For section editors:

  • All manuscripts are subject to impartial evaluation without discrimination.
  • The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the peer review process.
  • Manuscripts may not be disclosed to third parties without explicit editorial approval.
  • All submissions undergo plagiarism screening before the peer review process begins.
  • IJESP upholds an open access policy, ensuring that all published articles are freely and permanently accessible to the public without restrictions.
